Terrorists may be in the advanced stages of preparing attacks in Indonesia, the UK Foreign Office warned Friday.
It said recent indications suggested an attack might be imminent.
However, it said the overall level of advice for visitors to Indonesia hasn’t changed.
Visitors should ‘exercise a high degree of caution’ it said.
“You should be particularly vigilant during holiday periods like Easter, Christmas, New Year, Nyepi (Balinese New Year, 9 March 2016) and Independence Day (17 August),” it said.
On 14 January, eight people were killed and a number were injured, including foreigners, during a terrorist attack near the Sari Pan Pacific Hotel and Sarinah Plaza in central Jakarta. The attack included a number of explosions and gun battles.
