The rest of the incoming company Via Hansa and Borelis will continue, even though the Danish company has gone bankrupt, the company in the rest of the Nordic and Baltic area will continue
Hans Henrik Kjoelby, owner and CEO:
“ We have filed for bankruptcy ourselves after we have paid all what we owe them, the injured are unfortunately the company’s skilled employee who does not have a job anymore. It has been a sad but inevitable measure because the government has refused to support the ban, while maintaining restrictions that effectively make it impossible for us to do business. We and our former employees are not the first victims of this hopeless policy, and certainly not the last, as aid packages are phased out and the cash flow of companies runs out, massive problems will arise across the industry for hotels and operators.
The entire Via Hansa group and the Via Hansa & Borelis brand as such are 100% untouched by the bankruptcy of Copenhagen. Of course, we are particularly hard hit by the covid-19 crisis at all destinations, but we comply with all obligations to customers, suppliers and employees and service all customers at a professional and fully sound level.
After 25 successful years and after we have adjusted to the new situation we have the cash flow and capital to stand through the crisis. We have recently had many new customers who have obviously had trouble getting advance payments back from previous partners, can no longer expect professional service or in general need a solid and stable partner in this difficult situation.”
