Vagn Sørensen has announced to Scandic’s Nomination Committee that he will stand down as Chairman and member of the Board of Directors from the Annual General Meeting 2018.

Vagn Sørensen has been Scandic’s Chairman of the Board since 2007. The Nomination Committee has received notice that Vagn Sørensen will stand down as Chairman and member of the Board from Scandic’s Annual General Meeting 2018.This is due to time constraints from several other international board appointments.

“We would like to extend our warmest thanks to Vagn for his significant contributions to Scandic’s success during the 11 years he has been Chairman. During Vagn’s time, Scandic has developed into the leading hotel company in the Nordic countries and was successfully listed on the stock exchange. The Nomination Committee will soon present its proposal to the Board of Directors for the Annual General Meeting,” says Joel Lindeman, Chairman of the Nomination Committee.

Scandic’s Annual General Meeting will be held on April 26, 2018 at Scandic Alvik.

Vagn Sørensen will still be chairman at Air Canada, vice chairman of Nordic Aviation Capital, FL Smidt nd Royal Caribbean Cruis Cruises, Ltd
