Singapore Airlines has signed a new partnership with Cruise Lines International Association.
It becomes a CLIA Executive Partner and will be Headline Sponsor at the 19th annual Cruise Industry Awards on February 15, 2020.
With Singapore cruise port the major hub for Southeast Asia cruising, and the city state heavily promoting the fly-cruise market, it is a natural tie-up.
“The cruising and airline industries are intertwined and this newly formed partnership allows us to enhance and further strengthen the close working relationship we’ve had with the cruising industry for many years,” Singapore Airlines regional vice president South West Pacific, Philip Goh, said.
The Cruise Industry Awards takes place at The Star Sydney and honours CLIA’s Australasian travel agent community.
“We look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship with the industry and providing even more options to sell cruise packages with the option of a journey on SIA,” Goh added.
As a CLIA Executive Partner, the airline joins other organisations with a common goal to develop the international cruise industry.
These include other airlines, port authorities, tourism bodies, and cruise line suppliers.
