British Airways has announced plans to add a second daily frequency to its Heathrow-Cairo route from this winter.

Both services will be operated by the carrier’s short-haul A320 aircraft – in the past BA has plied the route with the B787 Dreamliner, it was forced to deploy its A321 back in 2019when precautionary inspections were being carried out on the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines on some of the carrier’s B787-9s.

Egyptair also flies between Cairo International airport and London Heathrow.

The London to Cairo route is particularly popular with those around the world visiting friends and relatives, which we know is more important than ever for many of our customers.

Flights will depart from Heathrow Terminal 5.
