Phuket has been picked to play host to this year’s Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM+).
It is the first time that Phuket has been chosen as destination host of the B2B event, which this year runs from 1-3 June.
Organiser the Tourism Authority of Thailand expects about 350 international buyers and 370 sellers to attend which this year has the theme ‘New Shades of Responsible Travel.’
TAT says business appointments will be segmented into three special niche categories: Responsible Tourism, Health and Wellness, and DMC Tour Operators to streamline the process.
In addition first-time sellers are being offered special privileges to encourage new companies to attend.
Entrepreneurs who have an environmental focus will be prioritised along with DMCs, tourist attractions and entertainment venues.
Those from emerging destinations will also receive discounted rates.
