Norwegian Cruise Line will introduce a new accommodation category on its newest ship, Norwegian Joy, which has been built specifically for the Chinese market.
Called Concierge level, the cabins are larger than standard and include ‘luxurious’ en-suite amenities and the services of a dedicated concierge, a private lounge and bar offering refreshments all day.
The ship, which will home port in Shanghai and Beijing from summer 2017, also includes The Haven, Norwegian’s ship within a ship suite complex which is available on other vessels in its fleet.
In addition, Norwegian Joy will offer mini-suite, balcony, ocean view and interior cabins. Some cabins have been designed specifically for families and there will be connecting cabins for extended families travelling together.
Other features on Norwegian Joy, unveiled this week, include an Observation Deck offering 180 degree views, a two-level racetrack, an open-air laser tag course and a high-speed double aqua loop free fall water slide.
The top deck of the 3,900 capacity ship will include a tranquil garden area where guests can practice yoga or tai chi.
