Trump’s administration has announced the White House does not plan to appeal to the Supreme Court on the travel ban, but there are plans to file a lawsuit challenging the executive order. The American President pledged he would continue to take the case forward, claiming he expected to prevail in the end.
In the meantime, the President and staff are contemplating writing a new executive order, stating that any new order would maintain his principle that refugees and travelers from countries his administration considers terror threats, should be subject to “extreme vetting.”
Speaking from Air Force One, Trump said, “We need speed for reasons of security, so it very well could be,” that a new order is created or revisions made to the original order to avoid legal hurdles. We have very, very strong vetting. I call it extreme vetting, and we’re going very strong on security.”
