Opening in fall 2017, the Lava Cove and Moss Hotel combines a “subterranean spa” experience with luxury hotel accommodations situated on Iceland’s renowned Blue Lagoon. The hotel will have a collection of 62 rooms and suites including, The Moss Room, Moss Suite, Lagoon Suite and Blue Lagoon Suite, each offering floor-to-ceiling windows. For a lavish stay, the Blue Lagoon Suite offer guests multi-story accommodations and private balconies with private access to the Lava Lagoon.

Guests will also have access to the Lava Cove Spa, an underground spa with a lava-rock-heated steam room, a firepit and sauna. To quote the hotel’s website, the Lava Cove is “built into an 800-year-old lava flow on the south shore of the Blue Lagoon” – tapping into the “same volcanic aquifer of geothermal seawater as the Blue Lagoon.”
