Via Hansa recently acquired a part of Copenhagen-based Borealis Destination Management, one of the leading inbound companies in Scandinavia with a strong position on oversea markets, in particular in Latin America and Asia.
Now the two companies will merge their incoming activities in 2018 to create the largest inbound operator in the Nordic and Baltic countries and Russia. The full and complete business merger will be effective from January 2018, and the new company will be trading under the name: “Via Hansa & Borealis – Nordic, Baltic & Russian Hospitality & Destination Management”. The two companies are committed to make large investments into new joint software including operational systems, booking engines and web-sites and will join operations from the beginning of 2018. Via Hansa & Borealis will employ over 150 tourism specialists representing over 30 different nationalities. And it will from own full service offices in Copenhagen, Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, Warsaw, St. Petersburg and Moscow be offering services for various segments of the tourism industry.
