This morning Singapore Airlines A350 arrived at Copenhagen Airport with medical relief to Scandinavia.
Fly SQ 352 usually serves the route between Copenhagen and Singapore and operates with three different passenger classes. This morning, however, the aircraft had no passengers on board, but was fully loaded with medical relief and equipment for personal protection, so-called protective equipment, in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Since Singapore Airlines began flying between Copenhagen and Singapore more than 40 years ago, we have been sending emergency aid flights to large parts of the world. This is the first time we have handled emergency aid to Denmark,” says General Manager Nordics, Erwin Widjaja and continues:
“At Singapore Airlines, we take pride in flying with and handling medical emergency equipment and we are very proud that we have been selected for this mission.”
The medical emergency supplies were immediately unloaded and brought on board trucks. The emergency relief aircraft today is just one of a total of seven Singapore Airlines aircraft with medical equipment arriving in Copenhagen Airport’s cargo section in the coming days.
Each aircraft has between 80-100 cubic meters of cargo consisting solely of medical equipment in the cargo.
