Malaysian Tourism Promotion Board puts more focus on the Nordic market together with a newly appointed PR agency – FIN-S Marknad & Kommunikation based in Stockholm. Noriah Jaafar, Director Tourism Malaysia Nordic and Baltics, recognizes the true potential of future visitors and wants to place Malaysia on top of mind in the region.
“We will start at the MATKA Travel Fair and at the Global Workshop in Helsinki and Malaysia will be represented by Malaysian Tourism Promotion Board Deputy Director General Dato´Hj Azizan Noordin and officials from Tourism Malaysia in Stockholm as well as by Langkawi and Sabah Tourism Boards” – Noriah Jaafar states.
Over 27 million tourists visited Malaysia in 2014 and number of tourists is growing every year. Martin Ahlberg; CEO of FIN-S sees as the most important challenges to ensure the visitors growth and aims to considerable growth of the market share in the region. “Irma Aalto with wide-ranging experience from the travel industry is the acting project manager and the entire organisation of FIN-S will be strongly involved in the process” he adds.
