Malaysia’s Civil Aviation Authority is conducting an urgent probe into what happened during an erratic flight and turnaround of a Malaysia Airlines flight.
The Kuala Lumpur to Tawau journey became a hellish flight for passengers with panicking and screaming as Flight MH2664 abruptly lost altitude.
The plane returned to KL as a precaution.
The Civil Aviation Authority will analyse flight data of the flight.
“Preliminary data has shown correct responses by the operating crew following the issue onboard,” CAAM chief executive Chester Voo Chee Soon said
“CAAM will continue to monitor the situation and will not compromise on any issues that might jeopardise the safety and security of airline operations.”
It was revealed the aircraft was a Boeing 737-800, which is the same model as one which crashed last month in China.
All 132 passengers and crew on that flight were killed.
