Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa in the Lahemaa National Park in North Estonia has received yet another international award – Historic Hotel of 2020 by European Hotel Awards, a sort of Academy Awards for European hotels and restaurants.
Olita & Hans-Henrik Kjølby received the prestigious award recently at an Award Ceremony at the Hotel W Barcelona, where eight other awards were bestowed to high-end European hotels and restaurants. The history of Vihula Manor dates back to the medieval Estonia in the 12th century, while the core of the present estate was constructed under the ownership of the Baltic-German von Schubert family in the 19th century. The whole estate has been painstakingly renovated over the last 12 years.
The large restoration project has not only restored the estate’s former glory and beauty, but developed it into the first full-service manor resort in the Baltic states and to an important tourist attraction. The renovation is still continuing and 2020 will see improvement of existing facilities, adding more rooms and suites and new facilities including the most modern and up-market Swimming-Pool & Spa Center in Estonia. Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa has over the years been recognized for its preservation of cultural heritage, its daring minimalist design, its customer service par excellence, its innovative cuisine and for its devotion to preservation of the surrounding nature and to sustainability in development and operations.
Via Hansa & Borealis highly recommends the property to all FIT and groups customers, who want to offer their guests an extraordinary experience. For more info, please contact, CEO of Via Hansa & Borealis, Hans-Henrik Kjølby.
