Germany is ready for new tourist themes for the next three years. 2018: It’s culinary Germany 2019: 100 year of the Bauhaus 2020: 250 years since Ludvig van Beethoven was born and Passion Play, Oberammergau. The three themes were presented when the German Tourist Center in Copenhagen organized the Northern Europe Workshop 2017 for 120 participants from Germany and throughout Scandinavia. At the same time it was stated that the trend is that Schleswig-Holstein and Berlin go back a little, while Hamburg, Bavaria and Lower Saxony go forward. Germany currently receives tourists with 80 million nights, but a forecast shows that the target is 121.5 million by 2030.
