SpiceRoads Cycling has launched a new road cycling tour in exotic Morocco. The 11-day road cycling tour takes cyclists from Marrakesh, across the Atlas mountains, and down to the Atlantic Coast at Essaouira in 8 days of exciting riding.
Arriving in Marrakesh, riders are greeted with Morocco’s world-renowned culture and hospitality, its stunning traditional architecture and delectable cuisine. The riding begins in the foothills outside the city, climbing into the Atlas by day, and relaxing in beautiful Morrocan riad accommodation by night. The scenery is nothing short of jaw-dropping, with rocky arid valleys and sweeping views of the desert framed by the snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas, as the tour passes through different eco-zones and landscapes en route to the Atlantic. Traditional Berber hospitality ensures that riders will be warmly welcomed and exceptionally cared for during their stay.
Part of a multi-tour launch of new road cycling tours, this road cycling trip through the Moroccan Atlas is the first of its kind for SpiceRoads in the region. “Morocco is such a rewarding destination, with fantastic scenery and alive with truly unique local culture,” says SpiceRoads Cycling Managing Director Daniel Moylan. “Its location also makes it a convenient trip for riders in Europe looking for a ride that has it all.”
Enjoying the thrill of the climb is integral to this tour, with daily climbs over 1,000 meters and some challenging passes in 8 days of cycling. As with all SpiceRoads tours, the ride is fully vehicle supported with a short break and bidon top-up close at hand.
The Morocco Mountains to Coast ride is priced at US$ 1,775 and includes all accommodation, refreshments, full cycling guide and support team, and most meals.
