Just a month ago, CPH was awarded the best airport in the world for the best variety of cafes and restaurants by Food-security fails in Copenhagen Airport, which just recently bragged about the quality of food at the FAB in Geneva.
The 26 million pax at the airport can choose between 34 cafés and restaurants and the gm for Airport Sales Lise Ryevad was proud on behalf of the airport to have “so high quality as Copenhagen now is the destination for Nordic food”.
But the Danish newspaper Ekstrabladet has discovered, that the official Danish Food Administration that some of the restaurants are so dirty, that they were given orders to clean up and get big fines.
One of them was Caviar House, where the roof was so dirty, that filth could fall down into the food.
The recent months the Food Administration has discovered a lot of mistakes, where food has not been cold enough to avoid bacteria.
In the news shops WHSmith were found butter, cheese, meat and sandwiches not kept below the right temperature.
Too other restaurants Gorm´s Pizza and Aamann´s Smorebrod (open sandwiches) have got fines of several thousand not to have the correct temperature, very important during the summer especially.
SAS Business Lounge lost its priority award for their quality cuisine in June, because it was too dirty in the kitchen delivering food to the business lounge.
No one from the restaurants wants to comment on the story to the newspaper Ekstrabladet.
